Happy New Year and the 1 month mark

Christmas was a blur. The pups enjoyed their first present - toys of course. Santa brings toys to all good and sweet pups.

All of the pups are doing great on solid food, but they rush to nurse whenever momma goes back to the nest. They play in the water, get it up their noses and sneeze it back out, and sometimes they manage to drink it.

They are all gaining weight very nicely. Their activity level and motor development is perfect.

We are really enjoying how much the pups are becoming sociable. They are quiet through the night but as soon as they hear footfalls from the bedrooms they start asking for attention. They climb over each other, waiting expectantly at the door to be greeted by a human. And mom is always ready for a break from the nest. So, good "grandparents" that we are, we entertain the little ones so mom can have a rest and play for a bit.

They hit their one month mark tomorrow, the 2nd. 4 weeks, 3 days.

It's hard to get a good shot of the group. They're always moving!! But here they are gathering at the door, hoping for some play time. Of course, they got it!
